As a LPG specialized company, SK Gas has been stably supplying LPG in Korea. LPG is now positioning as eco-friendly energy and not just fuel for the commoners. SK Gas aims to become a “total solution provider” of the energy industry by expanding the existing LPG business, maximizing synergy, and creating new growth engines in line with the rapidly changing energy industry.

LPG

SK Gas is actively responding to air pollution issues through enhancing the competitiveness of the LPG business by improving infrastructure such as smart complex charging stations, developing industrial demand, and expanding the supply of LPG vehicles. SK Gas supplies eco-friendly LPG as a raw material for fuel and petrochemical processes through LPG import terminals located in Ulsan and Pyeongtaek and a nationwide sales and distribution network, and also develops new demand in gas power generation and fuel cell using LPG. In addition, SK gas reinforces stability and profitability by leading the global LPG trading market through a trading strategy that utilizes our accumulated trading techniques and network based on our domestic LPG import and overseas sales experience. SK gas will achieve innovation and growth in the LPG business by expanding its business using domestic and overseas LPG business capabilities.

Gas Chemical

SK Gas has been pursuing business diversification by entering the gas chemistry business that can utilize the existing LPG business capabilities, such as the world's largest LPG storage facility and many years of LPG trading experience. SK Gas, through an investment company the SK Advanced, has successfully entered the PDH business and promoted the construction of a joint PP (polypropylene) plant, completing the vertical integration of the gas chemical business linking “propane-propylene-polypropylene”. SK Gas will develop and execute a business that transfers internationally recognized PDH operation know-how, and expand business model to the global market by participating in the global PDH project business to maximize synergy with the LPG business.

LNG·Power

SK Gas promotes the LPG/LNG combined gas power generation business and LNG terminal business to transition from a single LPG product supplier to a combined energy supplier. The world's first LPG/LNG gas combined cycle power plant under construction in Ulsan is scheduled to launch at the end of 2024, and the LNG import terminal and the LNG direct import business scheduled to launch around the same time will contribute to stabilizing energy supply in rapidly increasing demand following changes to the national energy policy. SK Gas also strenuously engages in creating new growth engines by advancing into the energy efficiency business so that the digital technology-based energy efficiency solution enables efficient energy use.
