The LNG import terminal business can be regarded as the midstream of the LNG value chain. Advancing into this business has enabled SK gas to secure the possibility of expanding the LNG business further into the production and consumption areas, through various business opportunities and active cooperation with domestic LNG operators in addition to the global LNG upstream operators and UGPS. In addition to the possibility of expanding the value chain of LNG terminals, the company will continue to generate stable income by offering the terminal's storage space to LNG importers for long-term leases.

SK gas is planning a joint project to build KET (KOREA ENERGY TERMINAL) with the Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) to set up LNG and Oil terminals in Ulsan Port. KNOC will be responsible for building and operating oil import facilities and storage tanks to ensure stability in the national energy supply, and SK gas will build and operate LNG unloading facilities and storage tanks. The LNG terminal is expected to commence commercial operations in 2024.
