Since its establishment in 1985, SK gas has been committed to providing better energy and better service for its customers. Currently, sales activities are being actively pursued through our nationwide distribution network of four branches—Central, Eastern, Western, and Jeju, each of them working closely with our headquarters. Through promotion of various programs such as vehicle affiliation/happiness membership programs and providing operational support to dealerships based on professional consulting services (on customer trends, promotion strategies, etc.), we are delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction through the provision of quality services.

SK gas is supplying LPG for home/business use and vehicles to consumers through more than 500 filling stations nationwide and providing LPG as fuel and raw material to leading domestic oil refineries, petrochemical companies, and major industries such as steel, paper, and ceramics.

Technical Development

Autogas is an eco-friendly, convenient, and economical fuel with great growth potential. LPDi engines and donut-type tanks have been developed to compensate for the shortcomings of existing Autogas. SK gas aims to enhance user convenience while contributing to the conservation of the environment through its commitment to the continuous development of autogas technologies which improve fuel economy and environmental friendliness. In the Small Bulk market, SK gas is creating an environment in which LPG can be conveniently used at any time through utilization of recently developed digital technologies. We will continue to do our best to provide safe, convenient LPG products and services.

Application


Vehicles	Household/Business
LPG is environmentally friendly and economical. With its low noise and vibration characteristics and stability demonstrated by safety tests and experiments, LPG is widely used as a fuel for commercial vehicles such as one-ton trucks. With the recent termination of the LPG vehicle purchase license restriction, LPG vehicles are available for everyone to purchase in Korea.	LPG is a clean, pollution-free energy with high heat generation and high equipment efficiency. LPG is used by 4.18 million Korean households (18%) and businesses. Propane in containers is used for cooking/heating. Butane is used for portable heaters and butane cans. we have, since the late 2000s, been supplying propane more efficiently and safely through small bulk shipments in the domestic propane market.

Industrial	Petrochemical
Industrial LPG is used as raw material or fuel, it generates more heat than other fuels, and is widely used for industrial purposes as an eco-friendly clean energy. By converting industrial fuels such as BC oil, which have high carbon emissions, into LPG, we are creating social values through the reduction of fine dust and greenhouse gas emissions.	Propane and butane are used as raw material for propylene, ammonia, and maleic anhydride by domestic petrochemical companies to flexibly respond to changes in supply and demand. In parallel with supply line diversification and cost reduction policies by petrochemical companies, SK gas is supplying LPG at prices lower than naphtha, thereby expanding the demand for LPG.
