Polypropylene is produced from propylene and is in continuous demand for use in producing packaging materials, automotive materials, textiles/fabrics, industrial/dry goods materials, consumer goods, household items, etc. Polypropylene has great value because no substitute has been found in terms of value for the price. It is also an eco-friendly resource recognized as a "resource of the future" by the environmental organization Greenpeace.

In order to establish stable infrastructure for PP business, SK gas has secured a site of about 160,000 ㎡ near the port area, taking into account the supply of propylene as well as the import and export logistics of the polypropylene produced. This has enabled us to create an innovative business environment in which our petrochemical plant, the port area, and container terminal are all connected.

Our PP business is expected to have the best global competitiveness based on the synergy from combining the excellent manufacturing and marketing capabilities of PolyMirae (LyondellBasell and Daelim), based on the infrastructure such as optimal business sites, and a stable supply of propylene from SK Advanced (SK gas, APC, and PIC).

Through the PDH and PP businesses, SK gas is growing into a 'global top-tier eco energy total solution provider' in the LPG industry.
