ESG Evaluation
SK gas receives ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) evaluations from the Korea Corporate Governance Service every year.
According to the results of the evaluation, the areas that needed improvement were specified as company-wide tasks, and those requiring more time were selected as medium-term tasks and are currently being dealt with.
Participation in Greenhouse Gas Target Management Scheme
The Ulsan site has been selected as location for the greenhouse gas target management system. It reports to the government the results of greenhouse gas emissions generated at the site and reduces them after setting a reduction target.
In addition, the company separately measures and discloses the social costs for greenhouse gases emitted during the operation of its business sites to promote activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Environment Patrol Activities
Environmental cleanup activities are being conducted on a quarterly basis in Ulsan and Pyeongtaek through a program for preventing marine pollution, called the 'one company one coast protection campaign'.
In addition, the Ulsan operation contributes to eco-friendly activities in the local community through proactive preventive monitoring activities by participating in voluntary environmental patrols to monitor any release of environmental pollutants near the site.
