Technology (Engineering)

SK Gas is operating the largest storage base in Korea that can store and ship LPG purchased at home and abroad and ship it by sea, land, and pipe networks. With a total storage capacity of 470,000 tons, we are providing stable domestic LPG supply. SK gas technical engineer oversees the operation and safety related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of these LPGs. We continuously invest in the safety of LPG supply facilities from the import base, which is the peak of domestic LPG supply, to the charging station, which is an intermediate distributor, and all the way to the final consumer stage. Moreover, we build a safe LPG consumption environment by periodically conducting safety inspection services for LPG supply facilities, which are in the middle distribution stage. Lastly, we use LPG-related technology R&C to generate revenue and support global business.

Technology (R&D)

We support efficiency improvement and cost reduction through various technical support such as business model development, technical advisory, and technical review to advance into new technology-based business. Knowledge of chemical processes and research experience, engineering knowledge related to actual processes, safety environment technology knowledge for LPG management, etc. are required for our cause, and we also seek for expertise in coal/energy technology in preparation for future new-business planning.
