Since its foundation, SK Gas has been striving to fulfill its social responsibilities as a corporate citizen by maintaining accounting transparency and ensuring fair distribution of its profits. SK Gas had steadily been involved in volunteer activities focused on the local community and, in 2002, we further stepped up our efforts to give back to society. SK Gas began to carry out volunteer activities in a more organized manner after the SK Gas Volunteers’ Club was launched in 2004.
All our employees participate in a variety of activities to help socially and financially disadvantaged neighbors, including creating jobs for these people, helping children who cannot pay for school lunch and young people who are providing for their families without parents, participating in the construction of the SK Happy Village, and offering PCs to developing countries. We also plan to implement various programs in an effort to contribute to the development of the local communities in China and other countries where we operate.
